Give Employee Gift Baskets For A Job Well-Done

An employee gift basket is sometimes a great way to give gifts to the employees of a company. Although, the baskets should be catered to the individual and not just have a generic basket that everybody gets. If the gift basket is catered to the employee they will understand that the employer knows them and appreciates them for who they are and not just seen as another employee working for the company.

Gift baskets can range from gift certificates to cheese and crackers. While many people appreciate a gift basket that has cheese and crackers or fruit, many employees will take it home and it will sit on the table until the food is bad and then thrown away. So, in a sense, the company is just throwing their money away with these types of gift baskets.

When giving employees gift baskets, the employer should look at some things that the employee could use. An average fruit basket can range anywhere from $25.00 - $100.00. So, if the employer is willing to put this much money into a fruit basket, many more useful things could be purchased for the basket that the employee would actually use.

An assortment of gift cards could be put in the basket for restaurants and clothing. A bottle of wine with the cheese and crackers could be put into the basket as well. These little extra things will make the basket much more fun to look through instead of looking through a basket of fruit.

That is another key. Making the basket fun to look through so that the employee can actually look through it instead of seeing some fruit and throwing it on their table. If the employee looks through the basket they will enjoy it more. So, make it fun by hiding things in the basket. Hide a gift card at the bottom and put a little note in the basket saying that there is a hidden gift. This way, the basket is actually fun instead of just a gesture.

Gift baskets are sometimes hard to fill. So, try not to spend too much time looking for things to put in the basket. While it is important to personalize the baskets, a restaurant gift card is something that everyone can use. Everybody enjoys going out to eat every once in a while. And while it is not personalized, it will still be something nice for the employees.

An employee gift basket is an excellent gift for employees if the right things are in it. If someone is bringing fruit every day, then a fruit gift basket would be perfect for them since they obviously love fruit. Other things like grocery cards or anything to help out with monthly expenses is good as well. The important thing to remember is to buy something that the employee can use. Otherwise the employee gift basket is just a waste of time and money and is not beneficial to the employee or the company and could have been used for something more productive.
